CONDITIONS OF HIRE

To form a contract with Augustus Gloop Chocolate Fountain Company, we will require a confirmed date of hire, a venue and agreed number of guests [final balance of money will be dependant on number of guests]. We will need to be in receipt of a £95 deposit - this will be non refundable.

Augustus Gloop will then email or contact you in writing to confirm your booking and details, along with your final balance and due date. The final balance should be received no later than 28 days prior to your event. If the final balance has not been received by this date and no contact either by email, telephone or in writing has been received and confirmed to rearrange payment, Augustus Gloop will be entitled to regard this booking as cancelled and no refund will be paid.

Any change by the hirer of a booked date will be regarded as a cancellation. Augustus Gloop will try to accommodate these changes, however in the event that such requests cannot be accommodated this - please see terms for cancellation.

CANCELLATION

The hirer must make any request for cancellation in writing. Deposits are non refundable.

If the booking is cancelled 28 days or more prior to the event, due to the hirer not proceeding or a change of date that cannot be accommodated. The hirer will receive a refund of 50% of the full balance [if the full balance has been paid]

If the booking is cancelled less than 28 days prior to the event, due to the hirer not proceeding or a change of date that cannot be accommodated. The hirer will receive 10% of the full balance [if the full balance has been paid]

Augustus Gloop chocolate fountain company Reserves the right to cancel a booking. If this event occurs, a full refund of the monies received will be refunded and restricted to this amount and no more.

DELAYS

Augustus Gloop will not take responsibility for any delay at the venue. [no access to the building, room or events over running].

Delays reaching the venue due to traffic works, traffic chaos or any other highway hazard.

BREAKDOWN

In the unlikely event that the fountain should breakdown or fail to operate as a fountain, whilst attended by an operator. Augustus Gloop will refund to the hirer 25% of the full hire charge that has been paid. [Guests can still enjoy the dipping foods and the chocolate] If the fountain has been hired without an operator, no refund will be paid.

In any event the hirer agrees that the maximum claim that can be made in respect of loss or damages, will be restricted to the total loss of the hire and no more.

GENERAL INFORMATION.

Augustus Gloop shall not be liable for unforeseen circumstances.Due to any ACT OF GOD, WAR, STRIKE, LOCKOUT, INDUSTRIAL ACTION, FIRE, FLOOD, DROUGHT, TEMPEST or any other event beyond reasonable control.

In such circumstances Augustus Gloop will give notice to the hirer where possible.

In the event that Augustus Gloop's staff or equipment are mistreated or abused by the hirer or their guests, Augustus Gloop's reserves the right to close the fountain and no refund will be given.

If any damage is caused to Augustus Gloop's equipment, the hirer agrees to be responsible for any loss, repair or replacement of such items.
